We both love good vegan food. A lot. We love cooking it, we love eating it at restaurants, we love sharing it with others (as long as there’s plenty for us – we’re not that generous), and we loooove talking about it. Since no one loves good vegan food more than us (seriously, no one; don’t even try to claim differently), we thought we should share our passion with the blogosphere. We’ll share our favorite recipes with you, try out other people’s recipes and review them, and give you our opinions about food we eat out on the town. Enjoy!
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Jessica has been vegan since July 2007, a decision that was prompted largely by her love for animals, as well as a term paper she wrote on sustainable agriculture. Since then, she has fallen head-over-(non leather)heels in love with cooking & baking. As someone who once considered “gourmet baking” to mean adding a splash of vanilla to boxed cake mix for that “homemade taste,” she is quite proud of how much she now loves baking cruelty-free goodies from scratch & sharing them – especially with people who claim that vegan food is boring! You can find her stirring up trouble in the kitchen, and reading any book on nutrition that she can get her hands on.
Mindy went vegetarian in July of 2007, a short while after reading a Vegan Outreach pamphlet. Eight months later, after making several excuses (“I love cheese too much!”, “It’ll be too hard!”) she went vegan, and struck up a new love affair with food. Now an avid cook and baker, she’s something of a foodie, and as her grandfather once announced, she “hasn’t lost a pound” from her new lifestyle. This may be due to the aforementioned baking-and-cooking-all-the-time-thing. It’s hard to say, really.
